Spiritual Cleansing

Ceremonial cleansing is a frequent theme throughout the Original testament.  Numbers chapter 8 gave specific instructions for the cleansing of the Levites, and how they were to be set apart for priestly service.  Today, we believers are priests (1 Peter 2:9) and we also should be set apart.

Just as the L-rd gave instruction on how the camps should be kept clean, usually what was decreed for a physical clean was symbolic of what G-D desired to be clean spiritually.

Because G-D gives so many references in the bible about the sins that have occurred in the  Land of Israel, we can only know that He was grieved.  More than one application states His sorrow over atrocities that took place in the cities and her hills such as idolatry and every other sin known  to mankind.  We have an example of G-D healing both His people and the land in which they dwelled in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

G-D wants to heal your land too!
Below here is an example of how to proclaim an area back to the L-rd from territorial demonic presence:

  • Walk around your home, and thank the L-rd for your home.  Offer repentance for every sin that has ever been committed at that home, even before you too residence.  Ask the L-rd to spiritually cleanse the home from the inside out.  Thank the L-rd for rebuking any spirits that are not of Him and that they have to flee in the name of Yeshua.  Ask forgiveness if you have ever been a porthole for anything ungodly to enter your home.  (perhaps you watched a movie that was unclean, or viewed something on the internet you shouldn’t have, or perhaps you sinned and never confessed it, maybe you gossip).  If you know of specific things that have been permitted in the home, cast those spirits out in the name of Yeshua.  (for example, if you have a teenager that you know took advantage of your not being home and indulged in pre-marital sex, or drinking or drugs, rebuke spirits of sexual immorality, drugs or drunkard ness.) Thank the L-rd for His forgiveness and for cleansing you home.
  • Anoint your doorposts with a drop of oil, and thank Him for sealing the entrances to your home.  Thank Him that your home is now a sanctuary, a haven away from the filth of the world and that He is welcomed in your home.  (this can be prayed over your church as well.)
  • Likewise, you should walk around the borders of your property.  Praying likewise for the forgiveness of any sins committed on that land, even 200 years ago.  Anoint the boundaries,  like a fence post or a tree, even a bush or the bare ground if necessary.  Thank Him that no unclean thing can cross over your boundaries.
  • You have the power of Jesus the Messiah to pray as follows: (out loud) “Father, in Jesus name I thank you that my entire home and property are washed in the blood of Jesus.  We commit this place to You, for Your purposes and Your good pleasure by the power of the Holy Ghost within me, Amen.”
Enjoy your clean, peaceful home!

*note: every so often this exercise needs repeating, especially if something has been allowed to go on in the home that shouldn’t have.  If we learn to be on guard,   however, this will have to be done less and less.  I also tend to pray daily, and especially when company is coming, and company that I’m not sure what they’re given over to.  Just as we should put on the whole armor of G-D (Ephesians 6) I also set the watchman on the walls of my fortress every morning.
